For more than 15 years, Jessica has focused her journalism efforts on investigating problems plaguing marginalized communities. Her most notable work includes a series of reports that led to the release of several wrongfully incarcerated people in Virginia, and the launch of WTKR-TV’s “Have You Seen Me” series, focused on bringing more media attention to missing people of color. Jessica’s work earned a regional Emmy® Award, Virginia Association of Broadcasters Award, Mississippi Associated Press awards, Florida Associated Press awards, William Randolph Hearst awards and the National Association of Black Journalists’ Salute to Excellence Award for investigative reporting.
